Vintage Needlework Ads #8

Losers?? *sniff*

Knitters can be so sarky. And snarky. Why does knitting attract certain personalities? There are several clearly defined personalities who I see in the store over and over again. A really broad cast of characters. No wonder we have knitting themed novels and murder mysteries out. That and the fact that these books are one more knitting related thing that isn't hasn't anything to do with actually knitting (if you know what I mean). Now I'm being snarky. I should cut it out; apparently I'm going to be on Live at 5, our local pre news show tonight. Talking about Ravelry-can you believe it? The piece is on social networking sites, so the came to the one girl not on Facebook.

Morgan, I know what you mean about the characters you get in a shop. All kinds of Retail shops are full of them. I have found that if you can figure out the visual cues, then you know how to deal with any customer before they even speak. I work in a department shop and have found 'customer profiling' really helps!
